08:40 pm: Sorry I haven't posted in a while.

I got quite a bit of research done today. Its rather wearying. I'll do more tomorrow.

02:38 pm: Haven't posted in a while. Things are going very well. I had a meeting with Joanne today. We began talking seriously about my 2nd research questions. We developed a way for me to approach the data that will let me begin the analysis. Woot!!!

My meeting Friday with Fred has been rescheduled to Tuesday due to an emergency on his part. School started last week, and my job with Fred has begun.

I am happy.

02:19 pm: Hey Grandma. Your post wasn't removed. On August 21'st you left a response to my August 15th post. And this morning you responded to my August 20th post. You just left notes on different posts. :-)

Things are going well but slowly. I love and miss you all. Have a great trip to Chicago!

04:15 pm: Thanks for the post today Grandma. It prompted me to write. :-) So, my next meeting with Fred is Friday the 29th. By then I have to have a comprehensive outline of two research questions, with evidence for every claim. This requires quite a bit of work for me. I'm making slow progress frankly, but hopefully it will speed up over the next few days. <3 you!

03:02 pm: Long time since my last update. I've been working hard, and been occasionally down. I appreciate your comments Grandma. I read them and it is motivational and really helps.

I had a great meeting today with Fred. He said I'd met his expectations this summer, and I will be attending SDSU again this upcoming fall.

02:52 pm: I have good news.

I've been working hard these last two weeks, and today Fred and I met for the 4th time in this two week period to discuss the evolving document that I've been working on. He and I both agree that I've been making significant and positive progress. I have a fairly clear idea of what I've done, what I'm doing going forward, and what is expected of me.

All in all I'm in a very good place right now.

I'm a little behind the schedule Fred set for me at the beginning of the summer, but only a little. My progress has been more than adequate. And I feel happy and excited about what I'm doing.

09:37 pm: Met with Fred today. Had a productive discussion. The document I produced today has to be significantly revised before it can begin to approach acceptability. Fred and I will meet again Wednesday and I will produce a revised document.

03:34 pm: Today went ok. I met with Fred, and we discussed what I had done. It turned out that I need to revise my work, and we are meeting Friday to discuss those revisions. I'm looking forward to having a better product for him to review then.

11:40 am: Working hard today. My next deadline is on the 21st. I have a lot to do between now and then.

I'm looking forward to seeing my family in W VA.

04:49 pm: I still can't access this page from home, but I'm posting from work today. My home pc had a meltdown the middle of last week, and I've mostly recovered from that. However, there are still some things that don't work, like my e-mail at home.

I went in to work today and was productive. I intend to do the same tomorrow. I will be going to LA Thursday night and all day Friday, and coming home Saturday morning early. I will be celebrating the 4th of July with some friends who worked with me at the Hilton in Del Mar.

11:26 pm: Haven't gotten much done lately, but I did go in yesterday, and I'm trying to get more done.

05:05 pm: I've been having trouble with my internet, and couldn't post for several days. I met with Fred Friday, and the meeting went well. I will see him again in about 3 weeks. I'm still working busily.

09:17 am: Ok. I've been making good progress the last few days, but I haven't posted because I've been absorbing some news.

I met with Fred Friday and he told me that he and Joanne are happy with my progress. However, my committee feels that I cannot complete my dissertation this summer, so they are going to extend my graduation deadline for a year, assuming I continue to make progress at the pace I've been working for the last several months.

So, it looks like I won't be graduating for a while yet. But on the flip side my committee has expressed happiness with my present work and progress, and are giving a vote of confidence in my abilities.

11:30 pm: Lance had free tickets to the wild animal park, so I took the day off and went with him to see the animals. It was great, and it was a nice break.

11:31 pm: Had a good day. I'll post more about it tomorrow.

07:08 pm: Had a great meeting with Joanne today. She directed me on what I need to do moving forward. Only two levels of analysis left, and I'm done with the analysis. That will mean my chapter 5 is complete.

04:37 pm: Ok. After a couple tough days in a slump, I'm back in the saddle. I was productive today. Yes!

08:23 pm: Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I haven't felt well. I'm back in the saddle today, working hard.

01:21 pm: Sorry I forgot to post last night. I was working hard. I'm working again now. So, I'm definately making progress.

10:32 pm: Its 10:30pm and I'm still working. I have a few more hours left in me.
